Call for Papers - The Asian Business Lawyer
The Asian Business Lawyer welcomes unsolicited submission of articles as well as notes and comments. Manuscripts should be formatted as Microsoft Word documents, and citations should be included as footnotes in accordance with the Bluebook. The editorial staff does not conduct systematic fact checks and relies on authors to ensure the accuracy of their statements.
Pieces are accepted during two submissions windows: fall issue and spring issue submissions. The Asian Business Lawyer retains all copyrights to published articles and assumes no responsibility for manuscripts submitted. The basic objective of this journal is to publish articles and research notes that provide insights into the legal impacts of business law in global society.
Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by two independent reviewers, and all papers accepted for publication will receive $500(US).

Submission guidelines
We accept Articles, Notes, and Comments that address legal issues affecting commerce, finance, and business in Asia and beyond.
All manuscripts should be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
Articles: Strongly encouraged to be under 25,000 words (including footnotes)
Essays / Notes: Under 15,000 words
Comments: Typically between 3,000–7,000 words
Submission Schedule
Spring Issue: Manuscript deadline – March 31
Fall Issue: Manuscript deadline – September 30
* Submissions received after these dates will be considered for the subsequent issue
File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
Font: Times New Roman, 12pt (no smaller than 10pt)
Cover Page:
Title of the paper
Author’s name and affiliation
Abstract (max. 200 words)
Minimum five (5) keywords
Footnote with author’s full contact information
Citations:
Follow the citation rules of The Bluebook (21st ed.), including proper use of id., supra, and other short citation forms. Korean legal citations should follow the examples outlined in our detailed Citation Style Guide.
All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by at least two independent experts.
By submitting, authors agree to assign copyright to The Asian Business Lawyer upon publication.
Authors retain the right to reuse their work in future scholarly publications with proper attribution.
