Mission
Since its launch in May 2008, Asian Business Lawyer has been published biannually as an English-language journal. It serves as a key academic infrastructure for developing transnational legal norms to address disputes arising from increasingly internationalized corporate activities.
The Journal is committed to publishing high-quality legal research through a rigorous peer-review and editorial process, aiming to shape legal discourse on current and emerging issues in the region and beyond.
Asian Business Lawyer is published by the Korea University Legal Research Institute (KULRI). The Editorial Board is composed of a diverse group of legal scholars and professionals, including faculty members from Korea University School of Law and external experts.
Manuscripts are accepted through public submission, and each manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review. In addition, students at Korea University School of Law directly serve as student editors, contributing to the editing, formatting, and publication processes.
* Asian Business Lawyer is currently being indexed in HeinOnline and uploaded to KISS (Korean Studies Information Service System).
The editing process at Asian Business Lawyer is meticulous and collaborative. Editors review the structure, clarity, and citation accuracy of all submissions. Submissions are revised through multiple rounds of substantive and stylistic edits to ensure scholarly rigor and readability.
Asian Business Lawyer was first published in 2008 by the Korea University Legal Research Institute. Since then, it has grown into a globally recognized English-language journal specializing in comparative and international business law, with a particular emphasis on East Asian jurisdictions. The Journal is currently housed in the CJ Law Building, Room 410, at Korea University.
